Six question types

注意:1-4都是关于数字的(描述数字、比较不同、指出变化或者趋势走向)

不需要写很难的句式

得分点:没有语法错误;不跑题;描述关键的信息,不用写所有信息

高分点:尽量不要重复单词,除了题干核心词,变在动词或者形容词、副词;句式变换

文章结构建议:4段式

  1. Introduction: one sentence to paraphrase
  2. Overview: two sentences to describe the main points (general things)
  3. Details
  4. Details

注意:小作文不需要写结论,也不需要写自己的看法

Academic Writing Task 1 Strategy

  1. Paraphrase the question. It is best to paraphrase the question in the first paragraph. You can do this by using synonyms.
  2. Write the overview. To write your overview, pick 3 or 4 of the main features and write about them generally without referencing any data.
  3. Support the main features. In a new paragraph, support the key features with the data in the information given to you.
  4. Check your work. Check your report for spelling and grammar mistakes. Make sure that the data you mentioned is also accurate!

Overall/In general, nickel started with the highest change, dropping significantly during the year, and ended with the lowest. In terms of Zinc, there is a mildly dramatic fluctuation during the year compared with the one for copper that is more stable.

The change of nickel price has seesawed precipitously during the year,decreasing sharply from 6 percent to negative 3 percent in first half of 2014, recovering a liitle bit in the next four month to negative 1 percent, and finishing with the lowest figure among the three metals at 1 percent.

Despite the general oscillation for zinc, what is clear is that the change of its price hit the highest level in Feburary to 3 percent and the lowest number of negative one percent during June. The change of copper price has remained the most steady among the three metals, with the highest change at 2 percent at the start of the year and the lowest of negative 0.5 percent during the year.
